Lauren joined BoF as our first dedicated HR professional. She brings a great mix of experience in large corporates and fast-growing startups, in the US and UK, and was able to quickly come in and assess our people needs, and act as a strong HR partner to the business at all levels.I found her to be a trusted advisor, with excellent judgement and instincts, who brought a great mix of HR best practice, pragmatism and a real human touch. She has a natural ability to build rapport and trust with the teams she works with, and I always appreciated the positive energy and genuine care that she brought to her work. I found Lauren because I wanted to recruit her to build our HR department from the inside, but alas the lady was not for turning. The second best thing was to hire her to consult, advise and eventually recruit the foundations of this essential team. HR is such a tough thing to do well, a mismatched team can be like dry rot for a business. Lauren has worked with Women for Women International for more than a year helping us to transform the way we manage and implement HR in the organisation. She rapidly gained the trust of staff and understood how to balance policies with creating a strong organisational culture focused on valuing and supporting staff effectively. She introduced midterm reviews and more systematic ongoing staff support. She delivered various bespoke training programmes for staff including on resilience and stress management as well as a training on management expectations and how to get the best out of management structures for the organisation and staff. I could not recommend Lauren more highly. She is exceptionally talented and experienced at the same time as highly emotionally intelligent which makes her particularly impactful in her work.
I have known Lauren both professionally and personally for over three years. Lauren was my manager at Charlotte Tilbury, and since the very beginning, she played an integral role in my professional life through mentorship, coaching and leadership.
